English conductor ROBIN TICCIATI was born in 1983 in London. Since completing his training as a conductor at St. Paul’s School in 2004, he has already had a remarkable career, greatly encouraged by Sir Colin Davis and Sir Simon Rattle. Ticciati is now in his fifth season as principal conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and from the beginning of 2014 has succeeded Bernard Haitink and Vladimir Jurowski as music director of Glyndebourne Festival Opera. From early on in his career he has been closely associated with Glyndebourne having worked as musical assistant there since 2004 on many productions. He conducts concerts with many renowned ensembles besides devoting much time to conducting opera and has regular engagements at la Scala Milan, the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London and the Salzburg Festival. Robin Ticciati first performed at the Mozart Week in 2007.
